Protecting our employees’ health is our first priority, and across MMG we continue to implement new health and hygiene controls to ensure the well-being, safety and health of our people during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our Las Bambas operation has recently redesigned its dining hall layout to further enhance the controls for our employees to eat their meals safely. The dining tables have been divided into four spaces, with a stainless-steel structure and polycarbonate panels providing them comfort and ensuring physical distancing requirements are maintained at all times.
The dividers grant increased mobility and the ability to speak while consuming their food, while complying with all safety requirements. These is also constant cleaning of the dining room and all other public spaces on site.
These initiatives all form part of Las Bambas’ official COVID-19 plan approved by the relevant government authorities.
