Las Bambas has delivered 3,000 additional COVID-19 rapid diagnostic tests to authorities of the municipality of Challhuahuacho to support the district’s response efforts to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Monday 10 August, 2,500 rapid tests were presented to authorities from the district, following a delivery of 500 tests delivered the previous week. The donation was made by representatives of Las Bambas and officials of the municipality of Challhuahuacho.
Rapid diagnostic tests will make it possible to more quickly identify people infected with COVID-19 and help stop the spread of the virus. This testing is made possible thanks to coordination between the political leaders, health authorities and Las Bambas.
This initiative follows the delivery of 10,000 rapid diagnostic tests to the Apurímac region in June, of which 2,500 were destined for the Cotabambas Health Network. This new delivery is part of a broader campaign by Las Bambas to support to the Challhuahuacho district and the entire province of Cotabambas in the Apurímac region of Peru.
At Las Bambas, we succeed together.
